2010 FIBA Men's and Women's U17 Championship Games To Be Streamed Live Online

Thanks to FIBAtv.com, basketball fans have the chance to watch live as the 2010 USA Men’s and Women’s U17 World Championship Teams battle for gold overseas this July.

All of the quarterfinals, semifinals and bronze and gold medal games of both the 2010 FIBA U17 World Championships for Men and Women, featuring the USA Men’s and Women’s U17 World Championship Teams, will be streamed live, online at FIBAtv.com.

Fans can access the games by going to www.FIBAtv.com and clicking on the ‘Watch Live Online’ section. The 16 games across both tournaments are available with a one-time, $10 subscription fee.

The inaugural FIBA U17 World Championship for Men is being held July 2-11 in Hamburg, Germany. Opening U17 World Championship play in a rematch of last year's FIBA Americas U16 Championship gold medal contest against Argentina on July 2, the U.S. will face Lithuania on July 3, then continue preliminary round action against China on July 5, Egypt on July 6 and close the opening round against Serbia on July 7.

The top four finishing teams from each of the two preliminary round groups advance to the July 9 medal quarterfinals (2:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., all times are CEST, which is +6 hours from EDT), which is when the live, online broadcasts begin. The semifinals (7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.) are slated for July 10 and the gold (4:00 p.m.) and bronze medal (1:30 p.m.) games will be contested on July 11.

The USA Women’s U17 World Championship Team will also compete in the inaugural FIBA U17 World Championship for Women from July 16-25 in Rodez and Toulouse, France.

The USA will open play on July 16 against tournament host France followed by Russia on July 17 and Canada on July 18. Following a day off on July 19, the USA will wrap up preliminary round play against Turkey on July 20 and Japan on July 21.

The top four finishing teams from each of the two preliminary round groups advance to the medal quarterfinals (times TBA), scheduled for July 23, when the live, online broadcasts for each game will be available. The semifinals (times TBA) are slated for July 24 and the gold and bronze medal games (times TBA) will be contested July 25.
