After each led a USA Basketball national team to a gold medal and a qualifying berth into the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, Geno Auriemma (University of Connecticut) and Mike Krzyzewski (Duke University) today were announced as the 2014 USA Basketball Co-National Coaches of the Year.

On the heels of gold-medal performances that secured the USA men and women a berth into the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, the 2014 USA Men’s World Cup and USA Women’s World Championship teams have been selected as co-recipients of the 2014 USA Basketball Team of the Year.

USA Basketball will announce its 2014 Male Athlete of the Year on Sunday, Dec. 21. These eight players, who saw the most game action for the USA Men's National Team during the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, are all worthy candidates.
