After helping USA Basketball win the 2014 Nike Hoop Summit and capture the gold medal at the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship Justise Winslow is currently playing his freshman season at Duke University (where he is teaming up with former USA Basketball teammates Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor). Even for an elite player such as Winslow, success is never guaranteed. Winslow first tried out at USA Basketball for the U16 team a few years ago, but he didn't make that squad. The experience, he says, made him work even harder. Here's what he had to say about his basketball journey and what he's learned.

"Basketball has given me the opportunity to make myself a better person," says Caleb Swanigan, a gold medalist with the 2014 USA U17 World Championship Team. The senior from Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has already had a few interesting twists along his basketball journey, and he talks about them here.
