  • Named as a finalist for the Naismith Boy's High School Player of the Year on Feb. 24 and listed on the watch list released on Dec. 11.
  • Ranked as the No. 1 player in the class of 2010 by Scout.com and ESPNU and No. 2 by Rivals.com.

High School

  • Has played four varsity seasons at Ames High School (Ames, Iowa), where he has led the Little Cyclones to an 89-9 overall record, including our straight conference championships.
  • Finished his prep career as the Little Cyclones all-time leading scorer with 1,787 points and all-time rebounder with 769, started in 78 of 98 games played and also totaled 181 assists, 196 steals and 93 blocked shots.
  • Helped Ames to consecutive undefeated seasons as a junior and senior to compile a 53-0 record.
  • Averaged 26.1 ppg., 10.0 rpg., 3.6 spg. and 1.2 bpg. as a senior in 2009-10, led Ames to a second consecutive Iowa 4A state title and a 27-0 season in 2009-10; shot 62.4 percent from the field, 42.7 percent from 3-point and 74.9 percent from the free throw line.
  • Averaged 19.7 ppg., 8.4 rpg. 2.3 apg., 2.0 spg. and 1.3 bpg. as a junior in 2008-09 to help Ames to a 4A state title and a 26-0 record; shot 56.6 percent from the field, 42.2 percent from 3-point and 73.0 percent from the free throw line.
  • As a sophomore in 2007-08, averaged 16.3 ppg., 7.5 rpg. and 1.5 spg. to help Ames to a 20-3 record and teh substate finals; shot 55.9 percent from the field, 44.9 percent from 3-point and 76.5 percent from the free throw line.
  • As a freshman in 2006-07, helped Ames to a 16-6 record and averaged 8.9 ppg., 4.9 rpg. and 1.0 spg; shot 46.4 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from 3-point and 68.9 percent from the free throw line.
  • Played AAU for All-Iowa Attack from 7th through 11th grade; also played for the Howard Pulley AAU in 2009.
