  Larry Austin With Two New Additions, DLDC Aims For Return to FIBA U18 3x3 World Championship
DeMonte Flannigan and Larry Austin both are still heartbroken looking back on September 30, 2012. That day, in Alcobendas, Spain, Flannigan, a 6’8” Cleveland State signee, and Austin, a 6’1” 2014 Tennessee guard commit, were competing for a FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championship and found themselves one basket away from capturing a gold medal, their ultimate goal.  Derek Griffin One Year Later, New Look Team Denver Prepared For USA Basketball 3x3 National Championship
Thirteen men’s and four-six women’s teams will assemble in Colorado Springs, Colo., Friday for the second annual USA Basketball 3x3 National Championship Tournament. While most of the teams will be coming from across the country to compete in the weekend championship, one squad will only have to make a short trip down Interstate-25 South. Story

A member of the 2011-12 USA Developmental National Team, Larry Austin was a starter on the 2011 USA U16 squad that captured the gold medal at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. A few weeks ago Brett Brady took the suggestion of his former high school coach and joined a 3x3 basketball team that was bound for the 2012 USA Basketball 3x3 U18 Men's Tournament in late July. Rondaé Jefferson: A Year Older, Wiser, Stronger
In 2011 at the inaugural FIBA 3x3 U18 (Youth) World Championship, Rondaé Jefferson and the other three members of the USA team was just 16 years old competing against guys who were mostly 17 and 18.
