In the FIBA Americas Championship 2007: Canada is 1-1 after opening with a 75-67 loss to Brazil and then topping Venezuela 80-73.
A Little History: The USA has competed against Canada in three FIBA Americas Championships, compiling a perfect 4-0 record against our neighbors to the north. The Americans topped Canada 105-61 in 1992; then recorded 94-60 and 92-66 wins in 1999; and a 111-71 victory in the most recent contest in 2003. Canada's only medal finish in the event came in 1999, when they took home silver. They placed fourth in 1995 and fifth in 1992.

What do you know about Canada?
Canada, with Samuel Dalembert on their team now, defensively they're much better, which makes them more of a controlled team. So offensively they don't score too well. They struggle to score, and they're very into possessions. They take a lot of time; they use the shot clock. They're going to do that to us. They're going to run a lot of zone against us. And with Dalembert, he's going to be holding the middle, so what we got to do, we got to be able to shoot it real well against them and put a lot of pressure on them....
