A Little History: The USA is 4-0 all-time against Puerto Rico in Olympic qualifying action, including wins in the 2003 semifinals (87-71) and second round (91-65), the 1999 qualifier (115-76) and in 1992 (119-81). Puerto Rico captured Olympic qualifying gold in 1995, a competition the USA did not participate in, and bronze in 2003, when the USA took home gold.

What is the most important thing for the USA to remember or think about headed into the Puerto Rico game?
One is that they beat us a couple years ago in the Olympics. And I think that should be a point that we need to emphasize to our players, and that they have not played well in this tournament. But to me, they could be the second best team here. They have just bad chemistry right now. They're not playing well together. They are playing very individual, and they're just in a funk right now. Now, they also have the ability to come out against us and hit every shot. They play with a lot of emotion. When things are going well, they get more excited. It's like dancing in Puerto Rico, once the music gets better, they start dancing more. And that's the way the play. So to me, they're somewhat of a scary team...
