Bob McKillop

USA head coach Bob McKillop (Davidson College)
On tonight's game:
The bench has been superb, today and against Norway (yesterday). They were active on the bench, and then as soon as they came into the game, they uplifted our spirits and gave us great energy. So, being able to use the full roster has been very advantageous for us.

It's so easy to hang your head and not fight back when you have the disappointment of being knocked out of the medal round. These guys showed outstanding teamwork and toughness in responding to that adversity. I wish we could start today, because I think we are coming together as a team. We are starting to make the extra pass, get the long rebound, defend as a team and, and we'd love to have the opportunity to play some teams again.

What is the feeling heading into the final game tomorrow?
We want to finish this strong. We started fast, and we want to finish strong. We got caught in between, in the middle, but we started fast in the beginning of this tournament, and we want to finish strong.

Yogi Ferrell

Yogi Ferrell (Indiana/Indianapolis, Ind.)
On tonight's game:
We played well. We came out a little sluggish. We couldn't buy a shot in the first half, but our defense picked up to end the half and then the rest of the game.

What is the feeling heading into the final game tomorrow?
We wish we were playing for gold, but we are not. I feel like we are going to be pretty excited. It will be the last time we all get to play together, so it's going to be bittersweet, but it will be fun still.

Have you learned anything about your game during this tournament?
It's definitely harder to play against international guys, that's for sure. I feel like what I've learned will carry over, being a smarter player really and playing better defense. I will try and bring that to my team this year.

Cory Jefferson

Cory Jefferson (Baylor/Kileen, Texas)
On tonight's game:
We prepared well for this game. We knew it was going to be physical. Germany is a physical team, and just playing overseas it's a physical game on top of that. We watched our film and learned about their players.

What is the feeling heading into the final game tomorrow?
We are definitely looking for a win. We are going to prepare like it was any other game, go over the scout and go over players and their habits and what we are going to do for our defense.

Have you learned anything during this tournament?
I think I've done better at talking, especially when I'm tired out on the court, still talking when I'm tired.

Doug McDermott

Doug McDermott (Creighton/Ames, Iowa)
On tonight's game:
I thought we were really unselfish once again. It's just a little too late. We wish we could have those games that we lost back, because we are starting to click really well as a team. I thought Germany was a really physical team, but we did a good job of setting the tempo early.

Have you learned anything during this tournament?
Yeah. I'm getting a lot more comfortable out there, getting some good looks. We have a bunch of shooters on this team, so it's easy to work inside, because they can't really leave our shooters. So, I really feel like I've settled in.

What is the feeling heading into the final game tomorrow?
We are feeling really good. We've got either Mexico or Finland, both good teams, so we have to be ready for that. But I feel like it's been a good trip. We've gotten a lot better as a team. At first it was a little hard, but we are starting to grow together.

Aaron White

Aaron White (Iowa/Strongsville, Ohio)
On tonight's game:
It was a good team. We were finally playing all together, sharing the ball and playing good defense.

What is the feeling heading into the final game tomorrow?
We just want to win our last one before we go home, keep playing hard and playing together.

Have you learned anything during this tournament?
I think I've grown mentally as a player. Playing a different role than I do at school, trying to be a better teammate if you are not getting all the minutes you usually do.
