2014 USA Basketball Women's National Teams -- Eligibility Information

In 2014 USA Basketball will field five women's teams for international events. In the traditional full-court, 5-on-5 game, USA Basketball will field 12-member teams for the FIBA World Championship, FIBA U17 World Championship and FIBA Americas U18 Championship. In 3x3 action, USA Basketball will send four-member teams to the Youth Olympic Games and to the FIBA 3x3 World Championship.

USA Basketball selection committees are responsible for selecting athletes to be invited to team trials, the actual selection of each 12-member team and ongoing performance evaluations of team members. Generally participation on a USA Basketball team is by invitation only, however, all interested players are encouraged to download the USA Basketball Athlete Consideration Form and return the completed form to USA Basketball by March 3, to ensure consideration. Each 2014 event is summarized below to better understand the opportunities for athletes this summer.

The USA Basketball Athlete Consideration Form is a PDF file and can be downloaded here.
