Rita Grayson began working as a USA Basketball youth and sport development division program coordinator in July 2014, and in November 2016 she was promoted to manager. She is responsible for programming and assisting in the overall growth of the USA Basketball youth and sport development division.
Grayson joined USA Basketball after spending the last three years with the Amateur Athletic Union as sports coordinator for basketball. She previously interned for the New York Knicks in basketball operations and spent two years as an assistant coach for the girls basketball team at Maynard Evans High School in Florida.
A one-year standout on the Francis Marion basketball team, Grayson helped her squad achieve the largest turnaround in NCAA DII during the 2007-08 season, improving to 21-9 from a 6-22 record, which marked the eighth-best turnaround in NCAA DII history.
Grayson earned a bachelor's degree from Francis Marion University in South Carolina as well as her Master of Business Administration and Master of Sports Business Management degrees from the University of Central Florida DeVos Sports Business Program.
