Bringing with her 14 years of experience with NBA Entertainment, including serving as a senior content producer during the 2016 Rio de Janiero Olympic Games, Saudia Mitchell joined USA Basketball as director, video content on May 5, 2017. She was promoted to creative director in November 2019.
Mitchell is responsible for the organization, management and production of video and audio content for USA Basketball.
During her time at NBA Entertainment, Mitchell worked at many USA Basketball Men’s and Women’s National Team training camps and competitions, including the 2012 and 2014 USA Men’s National Team training camps in Las Vegas, the 2012 USA Basketball Women’s National Team training camp in Seattle and the 2016 USA Basketball Women’s National Team training camp in Connecticut.
Working with NBA Entertainment since 2003, Mitchell was a senior content producer and editor, as well as a video content director for the WNBA. Including among her event experience were the 2015 NBA Africa Game, the NBA Finals beginning since 2005, the WNBA Finals beginning in 2008 and the NBA Global Game and NBA All-Star Weekend starting in 2005.
She also worked as a freelance producer and editor for Likeable Media from 2016 until present, as a senior content producer and editor for Armory Track and Field Center from 2012-2014 and for Live X as a senior field producer from December 2014 to December 2015.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations/advertising from Temple University in 2003 and a master’s degree in social research from Hunter College in 2011.
