USA BASKETBALL NOTES:

  • Helped lead the 2020 February USA AmeriCup Qualifying Team to a 2-0 record and a pair of wins over Puerto Rico in the first window of FIBA AmeriCup qualifying tournament. Played and started in two games, averaged 20.0 minutes, a team second-best 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game, shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from 3-point and 50.0 percent from the foul line. 

  • Named a member of the February 2020 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team on Feb. 12, 2020.

  • Member of the 2019 USA Select Team that trained against the USA World Cup Team finalists in Los Angeles, California.

  • Member of the 2010 USA U17 World Cup Team that finished 8-0 to win the gold medal.  Averaged 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds a game.

  • Member of the 2009 USA U16 National Team that finished 5-0 to win the gold medal. Averaged 1.4 points and 1.0 rebounds a game.

  • Member of the USA Basketball 2009-10 Developmental National Team.

PROFESSIONAL NOTES:

  • Has played in 219 NBA games since 2015-16. Played 3 games with the Brooklyn Nets in 2019-20, 48 games with the Atlanta Hawks in 2018-19, 62 games with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016-17 and 2017-18, 106 games with Dallas Mavericks in 2015-16 and 2016-17.

  • In 219 NBA games, has started in 23 games, averaged 13.1 minutes, 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 30.0 percent from 3-point and 77.6 percent from the foul line.

  • Played in three games for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019-20, averaged 5.6 minutes and 1.0 points per game.

  • Played in 2019-20 for NBA G League Long Island Nets after being traded by the Raptors 905 on Jan. 21, 2020.   • Played in four games, started in one game, for the Washington Wizards in the 2019-20 pre-season. Averaged 15.9 minutes, 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists a game. Shot 41.4 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from 3-point and 62.5 percent from the foul line.

  • Played three seasons (2012-13 - 2014-15) at the University of Virginia.  

  • Played in 98 games at Virginia, started in 45 games, compiled 873 points (8.9 ppg.), 341 rebounds (3.5 rpg.), 180 assists (1.8 apg.) and 84 blocked shots. Shot 43.0 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from 3-point and 75.5 percent from the foul line.

  • Helped lead Virginia to a 76-22 overall record for 77.6 winning percentage.

  • As a junior (2014-15), played in 26 games, started in 23 games, averaged 27.8 minutes, 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists a game.   • As a sophomore (2013-14), played in 37 games, started in 5 games, averaged 21.5 minutes, 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game. Shot 40.7 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from 3-point and 71.6 percent from the foul line. Named 2013-14 ACC Sixth Man of the Year.

  • a freshman (2012-13), played in 35 games, started in 17 games, averaged 24.0 minutes, 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists a game.  Shot 42.0 percent from the field, 30.3 percent from 3-point and 77.3 percent from the foul line.  Named ACC Rookie of the Week.

PERSONAL NOTES:

  • Son of Kim and Edward Anderson II. Has an older sister, Resha, and an older brother, Edward II. Brother played basketball at the University of Mary Washington.

  • Played four years at Montrose Christian School and averaged 17.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.6 blocks per game as a senior.

  • Named 2012 Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior.
