  • Honors:  Selected to the 2014 FIBA World Cup five-member All-Tournament Team.

  • Member of the 2014 USA World Cup Team that finished 9-0 and won the gold medal. Started all nine games and averaged 12.4 points, a team-high 7.8 rebounds, shot 63.4 percent (51-80) from the field, while averaging 21.7 minutes a game.
  • In 2014 World Cup play, recorded 22 points (11-14 FGs) and 8 rebounds in the win over Turkey; Posted 15 points and 11 rebounds against New Zealand; credited with 16 points and 6 rebounds versus Dominican Republic; Accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds against Slovenia; Finished the gold medal game versus Serbia with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

  • Named a member of the 2014 USA World Cup Team on Aug. 23.
  • Recorded 6 points, a team-best 7 rebounds and 1 assist in almost 25 minutes of action for the USA Blue Team in the abbreviated 2014 USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Named a member of the 2014-16 USA Men’s National Team on Jan. 23, 2014.
  • Recorded 11 points, added 7 rebounds, and 1 blocked shot in 16 minutes of action for the USA White Team in its 128-106 victory over the USA Blue Team in the 2013 USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Named a member of the 2014-16 USA Men’s National Team on Jan. 23, 2014.

NBA HONORS

  1. Named MVP of the 2013 Rising Stars Challenge played during the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston after recording 40 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes.
  2. Participated in the Slam Dunk Contest at 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend.
  3. Finished third in voting for 2012 NBA Rookie of the Year honors.
  4. Named to 2012 NBA All-Rookie first team.
  5. Selected as Western Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 12 and was selected as the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for April 2012.

  • Played in 67 games, started 64, in 2015-16, averaged 12.5 ppg., 8.7 rpg. (22nd in NBA), 1.2 apg., 0.9 bpg. (43rd in NBA), shot 55.8 percent from the field (7th in NBA) and 61.3 percent from the foul line. Ranked 48th in the NBA in efficiency (16.9).
  • Drafted in the first round, 22nd overall, of the 2011 NBA Draft by Denver. Became a draft candidate after playing four seasons at Morehead State University.

  • Attended Morehead State University.
  • Collected 1,673 career rebounds to become the NCAA modern-era (post-1973) career rebounding leader, surpassing Tim Duncan’s 1,570.
  • Finished career with 86 double-doubles, placing him just one behind Tim Duncan (87) for most in NCAA Division 1 history.
  • Two-time Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year and three-time OVC Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Finished with league-record 15 career OVC Player of the Week honors.
  • Selected 2010-11 Associated Press All-American third team and NABC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
  • As a senior in 2010-11, averaged 17.3 points, a Division 1-leading 14.5 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.9 steals in 34.7 minutes. Recorded a nation-best 29 double-doubles.
  • Had his No. 35 jersey retired by MSU on senior day.
  • As a junior in 2009-10, averaged 16.9 points and 13.0 rebounds and earned Associated Press All-American honorable mention honors.
  • Named 2009-10 OVC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and All-Conference first team.
  • As a sophomore in 2008-09, averaged 13.9 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks a game.
  • As a freshman in 2007-08, started 20 of 30 games and averaged 10.5 points and 8.0 rebounds.
  • Named to the 2007-08 OVC All-Newcomer Team.
