USA Basketball Notes

  • Honors: 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup MVP.
  • Gold Medals:  2019 FIBA U19 World Cup, 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup and 2017 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
  • Announced on Oct. 2 as a participant for the 2019 USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team October minicamp.
  • Member of the 2019 USA Basketball U19 National Team that captured the gold medal with a perfect 7-0 record at the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship in Heraklion, Greece. Played in all seven games, averaged 21.4 minutes, 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 steals a game. Shot 39.7 percent from the field, 20.7 percent (6-39) from 3-point and 75.0 percent from the foul line.
  • Recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds in semifinals victory versus Lithuania, 14 points againse Senegal, 12 points and 5 rebounds versus New Zealand and 10 points in USA's preliminary round victory over Lithuania.
  • Played in the USA's two exhibition games, averaged 20.0 minutes, 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds a game, and shot 43.8 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3-point and 50.0 percent from the field.
  • Named to the 2019 USA Men's U19 World Cup Team on June 20.
  • As a member of the 2018 USA U17 World Cup Team, led the USA in scoring with 15.7 ppg. and was named tournament MVP despite coming off of the U.S. bench to help the USA to a gold medal and 7-0 record from June 30-July 8 in Santa Fe, Argentina.
  • As a member of the 2017 USA Men’s U16 National Team, helped the USA to a 5-0 record and gold medal at the 2017 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
  • Participated in the 2016 and 2017 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team October Minicamp.

High School Honors

  • 2019 All-USA Today California Boys Basketball Player of the Year. 
  • 2018 MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year.
  • 2017 MaxPreps Freshman All-American second team.
  • 2017 California Interscholastic Federation Central Section Rookie of the Year. 

High School Notes

  • As a junior in 2018-19, averaged 33 ppg., 8 rpg. and 5 apg.
  • In three seasons at San Joaquin Memorial, Green broke the school career points record previously held by Roscoe Pondexter who totaled 2,288 points from 1968-71. Green finished the 2018-19 season with 2,291 points.
  • Helped lead his team to a second consecutive Division II Central Section CIF Les Schwab Boys Basketball Championship in 2019.
  • As a sophomore in 2017-18, started in all 32 games and averaged 27.9 ppg., 7.7 rpg., 2.8 apg. and 1.6 spg. to help his team to a 25-7 record and the state tournament quarterfinals.
  • As a freshman in 2016-17, started in all 33 games and averaged 18.1 ppg., 9.0 rpg., 3.2 apg. and 2.0 spg. to help his team to a 26-7 record, the CMAC League championship and the state tournament quarterfinals.
  • Competes in the summer for EBO 2.0, also has played for The Truth in the Nike EYBL.
