Played four varsity seasons for Porter-Gaud, High School in Charleston, South Carolina; started on his high school’s varsity team as an eighth grader.
Scored his 1,000th point in 2017-18 and currently has a career point total of 1,610 points.
As a junior in 2017-18, started all 27 games and led his team to a 25-2 record and the state championship.
Helped lead Porter-Gaud to state titles in 2016 and 2015.

Father played basketball at Michigan State; uncle, Noel Gilliard, played basketball at Furman and four years in Ireland; uncle, Ronald K. Gilliard, played football at the Citadel; brother played basketball at High Point.
