USA BASKETBALL NOTES:

  • Named a member of the February 2021 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team on Feb. 2, 2021.

  • Played in both games for the USA in the AmeriCup Qualifying February 2021 window, helping the USA to wins over Bahamas (93-77) and Mexico (95-76). In the two games, averaged 21.0 minutes, tied for a team second-best 12.5 points and 1.0 steals a game, while shooting 58.3% from the field, 66.7% (4-6 3pt FGs) from 3-point and 77.8% from the foul line.

  • Recorded a team-high 21 points (6-8 FGs, 3-3 3pt FGs, 6-7 FTs), 1 rebound and 2 steals in a team-best 25 minutes of action in the USA's win over Mexico.

  • Finalist for the 2017 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Team and participated in team’s August 2017 training camp.

PROFESSIONAL NOTES:

  • Played and started in 11 games for Orasi Ravenna (Italy) in 2020-21, averaged 30.0 minutes, 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds a game. Shot 37.% from the field, 28.8% from 3-point and 75.0% from the foul line

  • Played for the Milwaukee Bucks (2016-17), Portland Trail Blazers (2016-16) and Sacramento Kings (2014-15) in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League. Altogether, played in 16 games, averaged 16.2 minutes, 9.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game. Shot 47.8% from the field, 37.5% from 3-point and 69.7% from the foul line.

  • Has played internationally for Wonju Dongbu Promy (South Korea) in 2015-16, AZS Koszalin (Poland) in 2015-16, KK Cedevita Olimpija (Slovenia) in 2016-17, Yesilgiresun Belediye (Turkey) in 2017-18, Telekom Baskets Bonn (Germany) in 2018-19, Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany) in 2018-19, Ormanspor Genc Ankara (Turkey), in 2019-20 and Orasi Ravenna (Italy) in 2020-21.

  • Played three seasons in the NBA G League, playing for the Reno Bighorns for two seasons (2013-14 and 2014-15) and Westchester Knicks (2015-16).  Altogether, played in 108 games, 48 starts, averaged 23.3 minutes, 14.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists a game, while shooting 46.% from the field, 30.8% from 3-point and 70.5% from th free throw line.

  • Participated in the 2014 and 2015 G League All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk.

COLLEGE NOTES:

  • Played two seasons at St. Thomas Aquinas College before transferring to Iona College for his junior season (2011-12) and finishing his college career in 2012-13 at Northwood University (Florida) .

  • As a senior (2012-13), played for Northwood and was the NAIA’s second-leading scorer averaging 23.0 points, 6.9 rebounds a game. Named 2013 NAIA Division II Player of the Year, NAIA All-America first team, Sun Conference Player of the Year and all-Sun Conference first team.

  • Compiled 736 points, 3rd-most in Northwood history. Set a single-game scoring mark with 39 points in an OT win against Carthage.

  • As a junior (2011-12), played for Iona and played in 29 games, averaged 7.7 minutes, 3.1 points, and 1.6 rebounds. Shot 52.2% from the field, 30.8% from 3-point and 70.0% from the foul line.

  • Sat out the 2010-11 season due to NCAA transfer regulations.

  • In two seasons at  St. Thomas Aquinas (Sparkill, NY), played in 48 games, started 39 games, compiled 600 points (12.5 ppg.), 190 (4.0 rpg.) and 94 assists (2.0 apg.). Shot 44.1 % from the field, 35.8% from 3-point and 70.0% from the foul line. 

  • As a sophomore (2009-10), played and started 26 games, averaged 34.8 minutes, led the team averaging 16.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists a game. Shot 43.6 % from the field, 37.2 % from 3-point and 73.1% from the foul line. Named All-East Coast Conference second team.

  • As a freshman (2008-09), played in 22 games, started 13 games, averaged 23.1 minutes, 7.6 points and 3.1 rebounds a game.

PERSONAL NOTES:

  • Son of Garthlette and Denise James.

  • Played at White Plains High School (N.Y.) and was voted the top dunker in Section 1 by the Journal News In 2007. Helped lead White Plains to the Section 1 AA Finals.
