  • Member of the November 2021 USA Basketball Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team that went 1-1. Started in both games, averaged 24.5 minutes, a team-high 21.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and a team-high 6.5 assists a game, while shooting 45.2% from the field, 41.2% (7-17 3pt FGs) from 3-point and 77.7% from the foul line.

  • Recorded team-high 21 points and tied USA World Cup Qualifying game record with 10 assists versus Mexico. scored team-best 21 points in win over Cuba.

  • Member of the February 2021 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team that went 2-0. Started in both games, averaged 21.0 minutes, a team-high 14.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game, while shooting 43.5% from the field, 50.0% (6-12 3pt FGs) from 3-point and 66.7% from the foul line.

  • Recorded team-high 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in win over Bahamas, and 9 points and 3 assists in the win over Mexico.

  • Named on April 6, 2018, a member of the 2018 USA Basketball Men’s National Team.

Personal Notes

  • Son of James Thomas and Tina Baldtrip.

  • Named after former Detroit Pistons Hall of Fame guard Isiah Thomas.

  • He and his wife Kayla have two sons and one daughter.

  • Attended Curtis High School (University Place, Wash.) through 11th grade, transferred to South Kent School (Conn.) for two years. Named Washington state Class 4A state player of the year as a junior. Recorded 1,045 points (28.2 ppg) and handed out 236 (6.4) assists in 37 games in final season at South Kent.
