USA BASKETBALL NOTES:

  • Named a member of the February 2021 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team on Feb. 2, 2021.

  • Played in both games for the USA in the AmeriCup Qualifying February 2021 window, helping the USA to wins over Bahamas (93-77) and Mexico (95-76). In the two games, averaged 15.5 minutes, 3.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals a game, while shooting 37.5% from the field and 20.0% from 3-point.

  • Recorded 7 points and 8 rebounds in 19 minutes of action in the USA's win over Mexico.



PROFESSIONAL NOTES:

  • Played in 2019-20 for NBA G League for Grand Rapids Drive. Played in 38 games, started in 4 games, averaged 16.0 minutes, 7.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game. Shot 44.8% from the field, 36.2% from 3-point and 62.5% from the foul line.

  • Participated in the 2019 G League Player Invitational.

 

 

COLLEGE NOTES:

  • Played three seasons (2014-15 to 2017-18) at the University of Nebraska Omaha and one season at the University of Nevada (2018-19).

  • Altogether, played in 127 games, started in 119 games, compiled 3,475 minutes (27.4 mpg.), 1,444 (11.4 ppg.), 821 rebounds (6.5 rpg.), 170 assists (1.3 apg.) and 118 blocked shots, while shooting 50.2% from the field27.1% from 3-point and 67.5% from the foul line.

  • In three seasons at Omaha, played in 93 games, started in 90 games, compiled 1,164 points (12.5 ppg.), 624 rebounds (6.7 rpg.) and 91 blocked shots.

  • In Omaha career records, ranks 19th for points, 10th for rebounds and 6th for blocked shots.

  • One of only two University of Nebraska-Omaha men’s basketball players to record over 1,100 points and 600 rebounds.

  • As a senior (2018-19) at Nevada, played in 34 games, started in 29 games, averaged 26.3 minutes, 8.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals a game. Shot 49.8% from the field,  26.4% from 3-point and 79.2% from the foul line.  Named 2019 Vegas Holiday Invitational All-Tournament Team.

  • As a junior (2016-17) at Omaha, played and start in all 32 games, averaged 29.8 minutes, 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds. Shot 49.7% from the field and 67.3 % from the free throw line. Named 2016-17 All-Summit League honorable mention and Summit League All-Tournament Team.

  • As a sophomore (2015-16) at Omaha, played and started in all 32 games, averaged 27.4 minutes, 13.9 points, a team-leading 6.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocked shots a game. Shot 53.6% from the field and 64.5% from the foul line.

  • As a freshman (2015-16) at Omaha, played in 29 games, started in 26 games, averaged 25.8 minutes,  9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.0 blocked shots and 1.1 steals a game.  Shot 46.5% from the floor and 63.7% from the foul line.

PERSONAL NOTES:

  • Born in San Diego, California.

  • Son of Willie Hibler and Lois Thurman-Kent.  Has one brother, Kyree, and two sisters, Lanae Kent and Nathalie Kent.

  • Lettered in basketball four years at Omaha Central High School. Helped lead team to three consecutive Class A state championships in his freshman, sophomore and junior years. Named as a senior all-state and all-metro after averaging 16.6 points and 7.9 rebounds a game.
