Susan King Borchardt, performance coach for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Women's Basketball Team, is the director of The Athlete Blueprint, collaborating privately with individual athletes to create customized performance training plans. She takes an evidence-led and systematic approach and is privileged to work with some of the world’s most elite athletes. She has a 15-year history in design and implementation of high-performance training plans for professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes.
Currently the performance consultant for the WNBA Seattle Storm, Borchardt has worked as a performance coach for the USA Basketball Women's National Team since 2019. She previously held performance roles with CB Granada in the Spanish ACB, Stanford women's basketball, Nike and the Seattle Storm.
Borchardt played collegiately at Stanford, as well as in the WNBA, and holds her masters in exercise science from Cal U with NASM PES + CES certifications. She is married to Curtis Borchardt, who played basketball in the NBA and at Stanford, and who is a current physical therapist for The Athlete Blueprint. Together they have four young children, Finley, Avery, Flory and Franci.
