Jesse Mermuys

Jesse Mermuys, Sacramento Kings assistant coach, will serve in his first USA Basketball coaching assignment as a court coach for the 2019 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team July minicamp.

Mermuys will enter his first season with the Kings in 2019-20. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers for three seasons (2016-17 to 2018-19), as a head coach and assistant general manager of the NBA Development League’s Raptors 905 for one season (2015-16) and as an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets for one season (2012-13).


Additionally, Mermuys was the video coordinator for the Denver Nuggets for four seasons (2008-09 to 2011-12).

Prior to Denver, Mermuys was the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Arizona (2006-07 to 2007-08), assistant coach at Southern Utah University (2005-06), Pima Community College (2004-05) and Salpointe Catholic High School in Arizona (2001-02 to 2003-04), where he attended.

The Tucson, Arizona native graduated from Arizona in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
