Bobbi Morgan will serve as one of two court coaches for the 2022 USA U17 World Cup Team trials. She recently wrapped up her first season as head coach of the Ursinus College (Pa.) women’s basketball program. She was selected as a court coach by the USA Basketball Women’s Developmental National Team Committee.
Morgan has enjoyed a lengthy coaching career. In 13 years at Haverford College (Pa.), Morgan won three Centennial Conference championships, earned four NCAA Division III Tournament bids and claimed a pair of NCAA regional finals appearances.
Morgan is a three-time Centennial Coach of the Year, winning the award in 2012, 2014 and 2020. She was a finalist for the Women’s Basketball Coaching Association National Coach of the Year award in 2014 when she steered Haverford to a 24-4 record and won a NCAA Division III Tournament contest over Rhode Island College (R.I.) before losing to Ithaca in the regional finals.
Her 2018, 2019 and 2020 teams at Haverford all finished in the top five nationally in scoring defense, and Morgan ended her run at Haverford as the winningest coach in program history with 195 career wins.
She boasts an overall coaching record of 266-181 at the college level.
In her playing days, Morgan suited up for the University of Richmond, earning a Bachelor of Arts in journalism while there.
She was inducted into the Haverford High School (Pa.) Sports Hall of Fame in 2009, a program she coached for 14 seasons, 1990-2004, and won 272 games.
Morgan was also inducted into the Delaware County Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.
