The 2021 USA E-National Team dropped two games in the best-of-three series to finish second in its conference at the FIBA Esports Open III.

The six-player squad will compete from throughout the country as they represent the U.S. at the FIBA Esports Open III North and Central America Conference championship this weekend.

Featuring the return of three gamers from the USA E-Team that captured the 2020 Esports Open II North and Central Conference championship, and three more who participated in the 2020 USA E-National Team Trials, USA Basketball will look to capture another FEO conference crown May 7-9.

The inaugural USA E-Team was selected on Nov. 9, has been practicing and scrimmaging at least five days a week since then and is ready for the competition to begin.

The USA Basketball E-National Team, which averaged 85.0 points to its opponents’ 48.0 points per game and finished the first day of competition in the 2020 FIBA Esports Open II North and Central American Conference with a 4-1 record and in a good position to advance to the finals.
