Lauren Cox hoped for a challenge when she committed to Baylor University. Now, she has just that, and she's running with it.

Lauren Cox and Crystal Dangerfield are taking part in their fourth team trials together, hoping for a spot on the USA U18 National Team. They've won gold medals together, most recently at the 2015 U19 World Championship, but are not taking anything for granted.

Headlined by 6-foot-3 forward A’ja Wilson (South Carolina/Hopkins, S.C.), one of the youngest members of the 2013 USA U19 World Championship Team and MVP of the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, eight gold medalists were named to the 2015 USA Basketball Women’s U19 World Championship Team.

After five trials sessions, the USA U19 athletes are playing the waiting game; Asia Durr makes a big sacrifice; the competition gets tougher for Lauren Cox; and Destiny Slocum takes advantage of her opportunity.
