Viewing: Tamika Catchings

“Catch a Star: Shining through Adversity to Become a Champion” was published in March 2016, just as Tamika Catchings embarked on her final season as a professional basketball player and with the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games awaiting that summer.

The 2021 USA National Team for the third time will take on a team comprised of WNBA All-Stars on July 14 in Las Vegas.

The 2016 U.S. Olympic Team spent an off day sightseeing in Rio.

Led by four-time Olympic gold medalists Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings and Diana Taurasi, the USA women extended their golden Olympic streak to six in Rio de Janeiro.

The FIBA U19 World Cup for Women, launched in 1985, has seen its share of young athletes make the first ripples of what would become very successful basketball careers.

It's not hard to spot a USA Basketball athlete during today's WNBA All-Star Game. Of the 25 All-Stars named in 2015, including injured players, 21 have won at least one gold medal competing for USA Basketball.
