Syracuse Enjoys Merry Christmas In More Ways Than One
Check out some of the people and organizations USA Basketball is following with this week’s USA Basketball Social Media Roundup:

That’s right, the ACC’s Player of the Week for the week of Christmas was … Rakeem Christmas. The Syracuse senior put up solid numbers, so it wasn’t just a coincidence. However, Christmas doesn’t only excel during the holidays: He competed for the 2011 USA Junior National Select Team that defeated a World Select Team in the 2011 Nike Hoop Summit.
Proud of the guys for competing the entire 40 minutes. #sparenoeffort see our fans at home vs. Princeton, 1pm Dec 31st. #GoDeacs

Following Sunday’s win over Richmond, Danny Manning has his team off to an 8-6 start in his first season as head coach at Wake Forest University. Manning, a bronze medalist at the 1988 Olympics, served as a court coach for the 2014 USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team training camp.---

It’s been a good hoops year for Myles Turner. He helped USA Basketball win a pair of gold medals – first at the Nike Hoop Summit and then the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. A freshman this season at the University of Texas, Turner continues to make an impact on the court.
For the 1st time in my 4 years in the bay I get to watch my cougs play this weekend 🙏

Klay Thompson’s alma mater, Washington State, plays at Stanford on Jan. 2. The game is a noon start, local time, so there’s a good chance Thompson, who helped the USA Men’s National Team win gold at the 2014 FIBA World Cup, can be there before his own game. The Golden State Warriors host the Toronto Raptors that night.
As the WNBA looks back on last season during the holidays, it shared this flashy play from USA Basketball alum Shoni Schimmel, currently with the Atlanta Dream..@AtlantaDream's Assist of the Year goes to @schimmel23 with the beautiful behind the back pass! #12DaysOfWNBA - https://t.co/PuX1Demlr6
