I'm sick over the @drose injury. He has been through so much and deserves better. Fate has intervened again for this good man.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) February 25, 2015
USA Basketball wasn’t the only place sending out thoughts and prayers on Wednesday morning upon hearing the news that 2014 FIBA World Cup gold medalist and Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will be undergoing yet another knee surgery and will miss the rest of the NBA season. Among the many others who have sent Rose their best wishes via Twitter are USA Basketball players LeBron James, Paul George and Elena Delle Donne, and University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari, who was Rose’s college coach at the University of Memphis in 2008.
For all the updates on USA Basketball teams, of course @USABasketball and @USAB3x3 are the places to be. That said, @FIBA is always a good source of information on all of the international competitions.
This week’s coaching wisdom comes from Miller Grove High School (Georgia) head coach Sharman White, who also happens to be an assistant coach for the 2015 USA Basketball Men’s U16 National Team and a member of the USA Basketball Coaches Network.
Coaches, don't make the mistake of trying to treat all players alike.. Study your players.. Find out whom u can PUSH & who requires PULLING— Sharman White (@coachswhite) February 25, 2015
