USA Basketball wasn’t the only place sending out thoughts and prayers on Wednesday morning upon hearing the news that 2014 FIBA World Cup gold medalist and Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will be undergoing yet another knee surgery and will miss the rest of the NBA season. Among the many others who have sent Rose their best wishes via Twitter are USA Basketball players LeBron James, Paul George and Elena Delle Donne, and University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari, who was Rose’s college coach at the University of Memphis in 2008.

After @Elfrid, @IamAaronGordon, @Smart_MS3 & @BigJah15, who should @USAbasketball @UFCoachBillyD bring at #FIBAU19?

For all the updates on USA Basketball teams, of course @USABasketball and @USAB3x3 are the places to be. That said, @FIBA is always a good source of information on all of the international competitions.

The people in this video have eight gold medals between them – five for interviewer Skylar Diggins and three for interviewee Kobe Bryant (including two Olympic golds). And since it’s 3x3 Basketball week, it’s worth noting that one of Diggins’ golds came as a member of the 2012 3x3 World Championship Team.
.@JamesHahnPGA congrats my man! Awesome to watch you yesterday #clutch. Know that beer on the podium tasted extra good!
