Maya Moore's Work Is Never Done

  • Date:
    Mar 11, 2015

Check out some of the people and organizations USA Basketball is following with this week’s USA Basketball Social Media Roundup:

It’s been quite a run for Maya Moore

– from MVP of the 2014 FIBA World Championship to 2014 WNBA MVP and most recently capturing a third consecutive WCBA title in China. One of the keys to her success is that Moore doesn’t stop working – and here on Twitter she’s kind enough to share some of her workout tips.

It’s time for March Madness! Calling the ACC Tournament this week is veteran play-by-play man Tim Brando (right) alongside Cory Alexander (left), who has represented USA Basketball as both a player and coach. Alexander is currently a member of the USA Basketball Coaches Network.

---

Congratulations are in order for Katie Lou Samuelson. One day after we posted this video in which the four-time gold medalist talked about her USA Basketball experiences, Samuelson was named the 2015 Morgan Wootten Player of the Year.

---

Nice move here by SLAM Online, taking advantage of Tuesday’s big NFL trade news by re-surfacing this story about Jimmy Graham’s days as a basketball player with the University of Miami.

Kobe Bryant and Tamika Catchings have five Olympic gold medals between them. They also both have fathers who played professional basketball in Italy, where they met as kids before becoming professional basketball players themselves. That story is the subject of a new ESPN short film that airs Friday night.
