Follow Friday: @GeorgeRaveling
Every week, USAB.com will join in the popular “Follow Friday” tradition and highlight one of the Twitter accounts we’re following. This week’s pick: @GeorgeRaveling
Raveling, a former college basketball player (Villanova) and head coach (Washington State, Iowa, USC) for 23 years, was selected for direct election into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in February. Raveling served as a head coach for USA Basketball four times, most recently at the 1994 Goodwill Games. An assistant coach for the 1984 and 1988 U.S. Olympics Teams, Raveling remains close to the game as Director of International Basketball Sports Marketing for Nike. He is very active on Twitter – mostly offering motivational thoughts and coaching advice that can be helpful both on and off the court.
