The 20th annual Nike Hoop Summit will feature the United States looking to improve its all-time 13-6 record in the event.

Held annually from 1995-2000, the Nike Hoop Summit was resumed in 2004 after a three-year hiatus, and since 2008 it has taken place in Portland.

The USA earned a 101-67 victory in 2016.

NIKE HOOP SUMMIT PLAYERS OF NOTE:

An incredible 189 former USA and World Select Team members have been drafted by NBA teams, including 11 players in the 2016 NBA Draft and 13 players in 2015. World Team alumni have gone No. 1 in the NBA Draft for the past four years, including Ben Simmons in 2016. The most recent USA No. 1 selection was eventual Olympic and World Cup gold medalist Anthony Davis in 2012.  Since the first Nike Hoop Summit in 1995, 10 Hoop Summit alumni have been chosen No. 1 in the NBA Draft, including the past seven No. 1 picks. All told, 65 players have been selected among the first 10 draftees.

The first three draft picks were former Nike Hoop Summit players in 2016 (Simmons, Brandon Ingram and Jaylen Brown), in 2012 (Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bradley Beal) and in 2008 (Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley and O.J. Mayo).

Six players who starred in a Nike Hoop Summit have gone on to earn NBA Rookie of the Year, including Karl-Anthony Towns (2016), Andrew Wiggins (2015), Kyrie Irving (2012), Tyreke Evans (2010), Rose (2009), Kevin Durant (2008) and Elton Brand, who shared the honor in 2000.
