  • Date:
    Mar 2, 2017

USA Basketball will conduct a minicamp for boys and girls who are 7-18 years old (at the time of the event) on March 18 at the Gold Crown Field House in Lakewood, Colorado.

The minicamp will be led by USA Basketball director of coach development Don Showalter, who is an eight-time winner of the USA Basketball Developmental Coach of the Year award.

USA Basketball regional camps and minicamps provide opportunities for boys and girls basketball players to improve their individual skills while learning from top-caliber coaches.

USA minicamps are open to players of all skill levels and abilities and emphasize fundamental skill development.

Camps combine on-court skills training with off-court life skills sessions in a fun and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Participants will learn unique drills and strategies from USA Basketball licensed coaches while competing with players from across the country.

The cost of the Denver-area minicamp is $85, which includes all sessions, general athlete insurance and an official USA Basketball Youth Development jersey. Players are responsible for transportation to and from the gym, lodging, all meals, clothing and basketball shoes.

Registration is available at bit.ly/RegMiniCampDenver, and participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
