USA Basketball Regional Minicamp For Boys And Girls Coming To Norfolk, Virginia

  • Date:
    May 16, 2017

USA Basketball will conduct regional minicamps for boys and girls who are 10-16 years old (at the time of the event) at Norview High School in Norfolk, Virginia. Minicamp dates are June 10 for boys and June 11 for girls.

The minicamps will be led by Mike Jones, a three-time, gold-medal winning USA Basketball coach and the head boys basketball coach at DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland.

USA Basketball regional camps and minicamps provide opportunities for boys and girls to improve their individual basketball skills while learning from USA Basketball licensed coaches.

USA minicamps are open to players of all skill levels and abilities and emphasize fundamental skill development.

Camps combine on-court skills training with off-court life skills sessions in a fun and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

The cost of the one-day Norfolk minicamp is $85, which includes all sessions, general athlete insurance and an official USA Basketball Youth Development jersey. Players are responsible for transportation to and from the gym, lodging, all meals, clothing and basketball shoes.

Registration and more details are available at bit.ly/2017RegCampNorfolk. All participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
