USA Basketball Coach Academy Coming To Sioux Falls
The USA Basketball Sioux Falls Coach Academy - Presented by Nike, will take place on June 24-25 at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Coach academies provide valuable insight and education to coaches and administrators of basketball. Academy sessions impart the USA Basketball curriculum for a proper skill development path to teach the game to players of all ages and ability levels. Additionally, guest speakers deliver on and off court sessions on basketball and leadership topics.
Check-in for the Sioux Falls coach academy is from 8-9 a.m. on June 24 (all times are CDT), and the academy sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on June 24 and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 25.

The presenters are highlighted by Don Showalter, USA Basketball coach development director and an eight-time USA Basketball Developmental Coach of the Year award winner; Jennie Baranczyk, head women’s basketball coach at Drake University; Tom Billeter, head men’s basketball coach at Augustana University; Brian Jones, head men’s basketball coach at the University of North Dakota; Howard Moore, assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin; Michael Neighbors, head women’s basketball coach at the University of Arkansas; Steve Prohm, head men’s basketball coach at Iowa State University; Dave Schlabaugh, head men’s basketball coach at Cornell College; and Pat Sullivan, a motivational speaker and a former collegiate head coach.
