USA head coach Carla Berube (Tufts University)
What were your thoughts on the game?
We got the win. It was not our best basketball, but we had some really great possessions. I think in the first and the fourth quarter, we played really great defense. We missed a lot of shots, but they were good shots, nothing that was forced or out of our offense. Days are going to happen like that. I thought the energy was there. We played hard and came away with a victory.

Now, we are on to the games that mean a lot. We will get prepared for tomorrow. We’ll watch the game between Argentina and Canada and see who we will be playing.

Aliyah Boston (Worcester Academy/Worcester, Mass.)
What were your thoughts on the game?
We played well, and we had fun.

What are your thoughts as you move on to the semifinals?
It is really exciting. We can’t let that get into our heads. We just have to play hard and play the way that we know how to play.

Caitlin Clark (Dowling Catholic H.S./West Des Moines, Iowa)
What were your thoughts on the game?
I thought was pretty good for the most part. We didn’t shoot very well, but I thought our defense was good for the most of the game. But, we need to come out with more energy when we play either Canada or Argentina. We just need to pick it up, and our shots will fall eventually.

Azzi Fudd (Potomac School/Falls Church, Va.)
What were your thoughts on the game?
We started off well, but our energy, we didn’t keep it consistent. We had our ups and downs. That affected how we played. We need to do a better job of that tomorrow.

What are your thoughts as you move on to the semifinals?
I’m excited because we haven’t had a close game yet. It’s going to be fun.

Diamond Miller (Franklin H.S./Somerset, N.J.)
What were your thoughts on the game?
I think the game was decent. We had a lot of ups and downs. Our shot wasn’t falling, but I think we played hard still, and we worked with what we had.

What are your thoughts as you move on to the semifinals?
We feel a little confident but not overconfident. We were just missing shots, but we know they are going to go in tomorrow.

Jordyn Oliver (Prosper H.S./Prosper, Texas)
What were your thoughts on the game?
I think we played good. We executed. I think we need to pick up our energy though. We can play better. We have a lot more in our tank for this weekend.

On the USA’s shooting?
We had a bad shooting night, and everybody has bad shooting nights. We are just going to come back tomorrow and shoot better.

What are your thoughts as you move on to the semifinals?
Let’s go get the gold! Let’s win and play as a team.
