USA Basketball Regional Camp for Boys and Girls Coming to New York

The 2018 USA Basketball New York Boys & Girls Regional Camp, which will take place Aug. 18-20 at Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village, New York, will provide an opportunity for children 10 to 16 years old to improve their individual basketball skills. Participants will learn from USA Basketball licensed coaches in a fun, safe and competitive environment.

USA Basketball Regional Camps are open to players of all levels and abilities and focus on skill development. Camp sessions emphasize basketball fundamentals through station work, group drills and games in a fun and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

General information is available online about regional camps, along with the answers to frequently asked questions.

Registration includes all sessions and an official USA Basketball Youth Development jersey. Players are responsible for transportation to and from the gym, lodging, all meals, clothing and basketball shoes. All participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The first 50 people to register for the USA Basketball New York Regional Camp will receive a 20-percent-off discount, and offers also are available for groups of 10 or more by emailing register@usabasketball.com.

13U Girls and Boys Championship Games

After its successful debut in 2017, the USA Basketball Women in the Game initiative returned with a conference April 7-8 at the Windward School in Los Angeles. In addition to presentations from expert guest speakers, attendees of the USA Basketball Women in the Game conference also experienced breakout sessions and small group discussions between speakers and attendees.

USA Basketball and the NBA announced a set of rules and standards for youth basketball competitions to enhance the development and playing experience for young athletes by helping them learn the fundamentals of the game and achieve greater on-court success.

After winning the 2018 FIBA World Cup, the USA Basketball Women’s World Cup Team was named the USA Basketball Team of the Year.

After helping the USA Women’s World Cup Team to a gold medal, Breanna Stewart was named the USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year.
