2020 FIBA U17 World Cup

UPDATE: On June 12, FIBA canceled the 2020 U17 World Cup do to the coronavirus pandemic. Options are being examined for the possibility of it to be played in 2021.

2020 FIBA Americas U18 Championship

UPDATE:  FIBA Americas announced that the qualifying process for the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup will be the following: the two best-ranked national federations in the Americas youth rankings will qualify directly; and the remaining six teams qualified to the FIBA Americas U18 Championship will play a tournament for the two remaining spots.
 
Since the USA is the No. 1 ranked team in the Americas at all ages, USA Basketball will not participate in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship this year and there is therefore no need to conduct a trials.
