7 Quick Qs No. 4: What was the first game you remember playing?

  • Date:
    Nov 7, 2020

USA Basketball reached out to the gamers participating in this weekend’s USA E-National Team trials to find out a little bit about what makes them tick, the origin of their nickname, their go-to move, and other tidbits. We asked for answers to seven quick questions and got back a myriad of responses.

  • Question No. 1: What is the origin of your gamertag?
  • Question No. 2: When or why did you begin playing esports?
  • Question No. 3: Do you play any additional esports competitively?
  • Question No. 4: (below) What was the first game you ever remember playing?

ABPureblood: The first game I ever played? Definitely Donkey Kong! LOL🤣  Nah, but that's a hard one. I don’t even really remember which 2K my brother and I played, to be honest. Probably 2K12

ALittleLady87: Sonic the Hedgehog.

CB13: The first game I remember playing is ESPN NFL 2K5 with my dad.

Crush: The first game I remember playing was Def Jam Fight for NY on GameCube.

Dayfri: MVP Baseball 03.

Dimez: NBA 2K2 I believe with AI on the cover. That and Smash Bros on 64.

DJLayy: The first game I remember ever playing was Sonic on Sega Genesis.

FEAST: The first game I could remember playing was Pokémon.

Gradient: Super Mario World.

IcyGrl: It was an old 5-on-5 basketball game on the Sega Genesis.

iKilledZiah: First console game I remember playing was Mario Kart.

KennyGotWork: Contra on Nintendo.

OriginalMalik: The first game I ever remember playing was GTA: Vice City. I was about 2 and my mom bought it for herself but never played the PS2, so I just picked it up and started playing. That’s where my love for gaming first started.

Radiant: The first game I can remember playing was like one of the first TekKen and NFL+ NBA Street.

Ramo: Power Rangers on my cousin’s Sega Dreamcast

ZaeBucks: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64.
