Game Story / Box Score

Bradley Beal (Washington Wizards)

What improvements did you see to see tonight from the team?

We were better from the start. I think defensively we got after it – our attention to detail, we were way more locked in and energetic on the defensive end, and offensively we're just flowing. It was very good ball movement, got some good shots. Some of them didn’t fall in the beginning, but we play really good. In the second half, it was just a totally different story. We kind of got tired, got lazy on defense, and that's really where we got hurt. We couldn’t get stops.

What’s your adjustment from playing in the NBA to playing with USA Basketball?

The biggest one is sacrifice. We all have to sacrifice something for the greater good of the team. We're all used to, relatively, being stars on our respective teams. But now we're all stars on one team. We have to come together and be a lot better on the defensive end. Offensively, I think we'll be fine offensively. That’s never the problem. We got to buy into the defensive end and be a lot better, a lot cleaner with our schemes.
