New Season of Red Bull 3X Kicks Off in Memphis
In the women’s bracket, Seattle Force 10 - led by Blake Dietrick, Paisley Johnson, Camille Zimmerman and IImar'i Thomas – beat Chicago Force by a score of 21-15 in the finals. Chicago Force was led by Natalie Kucowski, Alexis Peterson, Alexus Dye and Carlie Littlefield. Force 10 Sports Management continues to expand its’ women’s professional 3x3 basketball program and will continue to be a threat on this season’s tour.
On the men’s side, 3BALL Omaha, a consistent winner on last year’s Red Bull 3X circuit, took home the crown in Memphis with a 21-14 victory over Runnin Mustangs. 3BALL Omaha was led by Dylan Travis, Malik Hluchoweckyj, Trey Bardsley and Trey Lansman. The Runnin Mustangs crew consisted of Matthew Butler, Courtney Carter, Earvin Morries and Nick King. The Red Bull 3X season continues on to Charlotte on July 9.
Through the seven qualifying tournaments of Red Bull 3X, players compete to accumulate enough individual FIBA points with the goal of moving on to the Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Regionals in the Fall of 2022, and then to the 2023 Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals, which will be used to identify a new pipeline of talent for 3x3. The Red Bull 3X qualifiers, regionals and Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals are played on a half court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock, where the winner is the first team to 21 points or the team in the lead at the end of the 10-minute regulation.
Red Bull is the official energy drink of USA Basketball and will support the USA Basketball Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
