USA Basketball Women in the Game Set for March 30 in Dallas
USA Basketball will host Women in the Game on Thursday, March 30, at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library in Dallas (1515 Young Street).
Launched in 2017, Women in the Game educates high school girls, college women and young professionals on career paths in the sports industry and how to turn their passion into opportunity. Guest presenters from a variety of career fields will share their personal career journeys, discuss the essential characteristics to succeed in their roles, and provide practical strategies to get started and sustain success in the highly competitive sports industry.
Event registration is now open for high school girls, college students and young professionals. Registration, which is $65 and expected to sell out, includes lunch and a Nike/USA Basketball branded long sleeve shirt and notebook.
The USA Basketball Foundation will award 10 scholarships for eligible attendees to cover conference costs, including flight, hotel accommodations and registration. Women 18-years-and-older who are interested in pursuing a career in sports or those who are currently in entry level positions, who want to further their careers in the sports industry, are encouraged to apply.
