Draw Announced for FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup
The 2023 USA U19 Men’s World Cup Team will square off with Lebanon, Madagascar and Slovenia in pool play at the 2023 FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup, it was revealed Tuesday. The event, which is set to take place in Debrecen, Hungary from June 29 – July 7, had its draw Tuesday morning.
The U.S. will face off against Lebanon and Madagascar for the first time at a FIBA U19 World Cup. Madagascar will make their first appearance while Lebanon returns to the World Cup for the first time since 2007. The U.S. own 2-0 record against Slovenia at the U19 World Cup.
The United States has won the competition eight times, including three of the last four competitions—in 2015, 2019 and 2021.
