Maya Moore got a bit of a surprise when the USA Basketball Women's National Team had lunch at the U.S. Naval Academy on Tuesday.

General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, addressed the Men's National Team before their game Wednesday night against the Dominican Republic, and told them how important the World Cup is considered all over the world.

One day after arriving in the nation's capital, the 2012 USA Basketball Men's National Team took its practice to the D.C. Armory to honor America’s service members on July 14, 2012.

USA team members Seimone Augustus, Swin Cash, Maya Moore, Candace Parker and Lindsay Whalen, as well as USA head coach Geno Auriemma and assistant coach Doug Bruno, held a clinic for daughters of military members at the D.C. Armory as part of USA Basketball's Hoops for Troops initiative.
