The 1995-96 USA National Team played the defending NCAA champion University of Connecticut in an exhibition contest on Nov. 11, 1995. Played in front of a sellout crowd of 8,241 at Gampel Pavilion, the 83-47 USA victory was powered by Lisa Leslie's 20 points.

Joining USA Basketball in April 1990 as the organization's first assistant executive director for media/public relations, Craig Miller serves as USA Basketball's spokesperson and primary media contact, while overseeing all facets of USA Basketball's communications operations.

Included among his responsibilities is coordinating all press conferences, overseeing all press releases, the production of USA Basketball's website and social media sites, production of team media guides and the USA Basketball News magazine. Miller also serves as a liaison between all USA Basketball staff, coaches, players and the media.

Miller currently is a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Gowdy Media Awards Committee and a past member of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Media Council. He was honored in March 1997 by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and named as a recipient of the Katha Quinn Award, an annual award which recognizes outstanding service and contributions to basketball and the USBWA.

While at USA Basketball, he headed the media/public relations responsibilities for the historic 2006-2008 USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team and 2009-2012, 2013-16 Men's National Team programs. Miller has also served as the primary press officer for the 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic men's basketball teams that claimed six golds and one bronze medal, while serving as the primary press officer with the 1992 US. Olympic women's basketball team and assisting with the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 women's Olympic teams. Additionally, Miller headed the media/public relations efforts for the 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2019 USA World Cup men's teams, the 1991, 1995, 1999, 2007 and 2011 USA men's and women's Pan American Games teams and numerous other men's and women's junior national and select teams.

Prior to joining USA Basketball, Miller spent 10 years at Villanova University (Pa.) where he oversaw all media/public relations facets for Villanova's athletics teams as the assistant to the athletic director for athletic communications (1988-90) and sports information director (1981-88), including Villanova's 1985 NCAA national championship men's basketball team. Miller was the recipient of 25 CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) publication awards between 1981-90, including 12 best in the nation top five awards.

While employed at Villanova, Miller was selected by the U.S. Olympic Committee to serve as the track and field press officer for the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, a USOC press officer at the 1986 and 1987 U.S. Olympic Festivals, and was selected press officer for 1988 USA Winter Paralympic Team that competed in Austria.

Miller earned his bachelor of arts degree in english from Albion College (Mich.). Inducted into the Albion College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016, he was a three year starter in football and started four years in lacrosse. While attending Albion, he served as student sports information director and was sports editor of the college weekly newspaper and the yearbook. Miller studied toward a master's degree in public relations at Ball State University (Ind.), while serving at Earlham College (Ind.) for one year as sports information director, as an assistant football coach and assistant women's lacrosse coach.

Miller and his wife, Liz, reside in Colorado Springs and have three children, Mitchell, Libby and Anna. checks in with USA Junior National Team members Josh Christopher and Jeremy Roach.
