After being named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, where he helped the USA men to their first gold medal at the event, Robbie Hummel is the 2019 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year.

Robbie Hummel was at Purdue University from 2007-08 through 2011-12. (He missed out on the 2010-11 season due a torn ACL.) Hummel helped the Boilermakers to the 2009 and 2010 NCAA Sweet Sixteen and averaged 13.1 points per game for his career. He was a 2010 and 2012 Associated Press All-America honorable mention.
