Q. Why was my license revoked?

Q. As an international coach, may I apply for a USA Basketball Coach License?
A. Yes. International coaches may apply for a GOLD coach license by visiting community.usab.com.
Q. How can I get involved with USA Basketball?
A. There are a number of ways to get involved with USA Basketball through volunteer opportunities, hosting an open court program or hosting a 3x3 qualifier. Click HERE to find out how.
Q. Do I have to take the same courses each year?
A. Each season, coaches have to complete a new background screening to be eligible for the duration of the license year. In addition, appropriate courses will be loaded onto your dashboard if you are a new coach or a renewing coach. Courses may be full versions or refresher versions based on your license history.
Q. What does the Coach General Liability insurance cover?
A. USA Basketball provides general liability insurance to all licensed coaches in good standing. You must be an actively licensed coach and your players must have their own participant accident coverage to order for coverage to apply. Click HERE for a full description of insurance.
Q. What are the background check factors that would result in an applicant being ineligible to receive a USA Basketball Coach License?
A. USA Basketball Youth Development will review and compare the results of your background check against our license qualifying criteria to determine your eligibility. If you do not meet licensing eligibility standards you will be notified through the contact information you provided. USA Basketball Youth Development will receive monthly updates, which will ensure all coaches and administrators are in good standing throughout the duration of their license. At any point the coach or administrator is found to be ineligible, their license becomes invalid. You can find a list of automatic and potential disqualifying items HERE.
Q. Which license do I need to start my NCAA certification process?

Q. What is your refund policy for the coach license?
A. Due to the service costs of the license, no refunds will be issued once the licensing components have been started.
