USA Basketball Girls Gold Camp

The USA Basketball Girls Gold Camp takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on June 23-24, 2019. The focus of the camp is enhanced skill development for 7th and 8th grade girls based on the USA Basketball Player Development Model. Registration for this camp follows an application process as outlined below.

Participation is limited to current 7th and 8th grade athletes based on the eligibility criteria below:

  • Athlete must be a U.S. citizen AND
  • Athlete must be enrolled in the 7th or 8th grade (as of October 1, 2018) and CANNOT turn 16 prior to September 1, 2019.

*Note: Athletes in 6th grade and below are not eligible for the Girls Gold Camp but may register for a USA Basketball Regional Camp HERE

Athletes interested in registering for the Girls Gold Camp must submit an application. USA Basketball staff will review all submitted applications and reply with formal acceptance or denial for each submission.


  • Official documentation of athlete’s birth certificate
  • Official documentation of athlete’s most recent report card
  • Letter of recommendation from an adult coach or teacher describing athlete’s character traits, athletic ability, commitment to academics and any additional information
  • Link to athlete’s game footage that demonstrates advanced skills
  • $230 camp registration fee (refunded if not selected for camp)


  • USA Basketball staff will evaluate applications until capacity is reached
  • Each athlete will receive an approval status notification from USA Basketball
  • Approved athletes will complete a final confirmation registration
  • Athletes who are not approved will receive a refund of their registration fee


  • Opportunity to improve basketball skills in a competitive setting
  • Practice unique drills, strategies and skill sets in a developmentally appropriate environment
  • Competing with athletes from across the country
  • Instruction from coaching staff selected by USA Basketball
  • USA Basketball representatives attend camp to evaluate the development level of all athletes


  • Transportation to and from the gym
  • Lodging
  • All meals
  • Registration fee
  • All clothing and basketball shoes (jersey & shorts provided by USA Basketball)
