Magic Memorial Day Festival Champions Crowned

We's like to thank Etop Udo-Ema for this update on the championship action at the Magic Memorial Day Festival over the weekend.

Compton Magic cruised to a easy victory over the Las Vegas Dogcatchers Monday afternoon in the 17U Elite championship on the 2nd Annual Magic Memorial Day Festival. The Magic were led by a pair of sophomores 7-foot Isaiah Austin (Grace Prep, TX) and 6-3 Gabe York (Orange Lutheran, CA). The Magic defeated a solid Team Superstar in the semifinal game. Las Vegas Dogcatchers reached the championship in a hard-fought battle against IEBP in the semis.

Belmont Shore Silver defeated Dreamcourts from Northern California in the finals of the 17U Open Division. Belmont got to the championship by defeating the Las Vegas Dogcatchers 16's in the semi's. Dreamcourts got to the championship defeated a solid Arizona Stars team.

The Playaz 15's from New Jersey won the 15/16U championship over the Las Vegas Prospects. Playaz reached the championship by defeating Channing Frye Bulldogs in the semi's. The Prospects defeated VBA in the other semifinal game.
