Open Court program facilities will hold 10 sessions for each age group throughout the program.
All participants must bring a parent or legal guardian to the check-in table the first time they attend a session to sign the participant waiver and provide a contact email before taking the court.
Each time a child checks in and attends a session, participation points will be earned and prizes are awarded at the fourth, sixth and ninth session each participant attends, as well as an Opening Day giveaway and prize item on Bring a Buddy Day on the fifth session.
What takes place during sessions?
The purpose of each session is to encourage free play, development and fun through basketball.
Open Court sessions are designed to emphasize the concept of playground basketball, where children decide how to experience the game within their time block.
Each Open Court program is supervised by USA Basketball licensed coaches.
Participants may choose from many different basketball activities, such as stations, 3x3 and small-sided games, five-on-five competition and other basketball-related games.
Sessions are divided into time blocks by age.
How do I earn points?
Each time a child comes out to play at an Open Court session participation points are earned at check-in.
Once you have attended four sessions, you earn a prize. Participants also earn prizes when they have attended six sessions and again after nine sessions.
Prizes will be distributed by the facility as participants qualify.
How do I redeem my prizes?
Participants will be able to select one prize item from the appropriate prize tier and complete an order form. The facility will collect the order form and distribute the prize at the fourth, sixth or ninth session, or as soon as possible.
