USA Men's U19 World Championship Team

In 2015 USA Basketball will field four men’s teams for international events. In the traditional full-court, 5-on-5 game, USA Basketball will field 12-member teams for the FIBA U19 World Championship, FIBA Americas U16 Championship and Pan American Games. In 3x3 action, USA Basketball will host a pair of 3x3 national tournaments and send four-member teams to the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships. FIBA on March 12 in Mies, Switzerland, conducted the draw to determine the four preliminary round pools for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship for Men that is scheduled for June 27-July 5 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.

After helping coach the 2014 USA Men’s U18 National Team to a 5-0 record and the gold medal, USA Basketball announced the return of the entire coaching staff to lead the 2015 USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship Team, headed by University of Florida head coach Billy Donovan and assisted by college head coaches Ed Cooley from Providence College and Sean Miller from the University of Arizona.
